Brugmansia is known for its huge, fragrant, pendent flowers and originates fro South America. When people first encounter the angel trumpet usually their jaws drop in awe of the exotic 10â³ inch long flowers and powerful lemon scent. They are a perennial member of the Solanaceae (Calibrachoa). The foliage is highly poisonous which makes the plants deer-resistant.
Spectacular, huge, fragrant trumpet-shaped flowers midsummer until frost. Angel's Trumpets are dramatic accent plants which need average to ample water and full to part sun Tender perennials, usually grown as an annuals.
ITEM DESCRIPTION
Brugmansia suaveolens pink is a semi-woody shrub or small tree that gets 6-15 feet tall, usually with a many-branched single trunk. This Angel Trumpet occurs naturally in South-est Brazil. It is widely grown as an ornamental everywhere. It is a fast growing plant. Brugmansia may be grown in containers or in the garden.
The overall plant has a coarse texture but the flowers are remarkably beautiful. They are exceptionally fragrant, about 12 inches long and shaped like trumpets. The corolla has five points that are slightly recurved. The flowers are usually white but may be yellowish; they are pendulous, hanging almost straight down. The large trumpet flowers bloom for most of the year. Container-grown plants moved indoors for the Winter may bloom during those months.

How to Plant ANGEL'S TRUMPET Seeds
Soak seed for 24 hours in lukewarm water, then sow in cell packs or flats,press into soil and barely cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 60-70° F., germination is in 21-60 days. Transplant into 3 inch containers when seedlings large enough to handle. When rooted, place into the garden 4 feet apart.Comments: Full or part sun. Tolerates average water, almost any soil with good drainage. Best performance in rich soil with ample water. Huge, showy,sweetly fragrant flowers attract bees, butterflies and spectacular moths.Thorny seed pods develop after bloom, are excellent for cutting. Can be wintered over in a frost-free location; give some light and a bare minimum of water. All parts of plants are toxic; they easily resist deer and rabbits.
