Experience the perfect blend of sweet and tart with BLUEBERRY BILOXI by FRUIT SHUB - a unique combination of blueberries and Biloxi fruit. Your taste buds won't want to miss this unforgettable journey.

Biloxi blueberries are notable for their bushy growth habit and high quality berries with excellent flavor. Yields of Biloxi blueberries have been disappointing in areas with chilling above 150 hours. The Biloxi blueberry is recommended for no-chill regions where the bush can be grown fully evergreen.

Blueberry ‘Biloxi’ is excellent for southern climates and has an excellent flavor! ‘Biloxi’ is recommended for low or no-chill regions where the bush can be grown fully evergreen.  Its’ fruit is light blue in color and very firm with medium size berries. ‘Biloxi’ is notable for its bushy growth habit and high-quality berries. Blueberries can be grown as a beautiful, productive hedge with spring flowers on dark green foliage, delicious fruit in summer, and fiery red foliage for autumn color. This southern highbush type cultivar has good resistance to leaf spots and diseases.

For best results, set plants out as early as possible in the spring. Prune branches back about 1/2 their length at planting time with no further pruning required the next 3 years. Prune annually thereafter during the dormant period.  ‘Biloxi’ blueberries may require protection from the spring frost.  They are also self-fertile; however, they are more productive when planted with other blueberry plants.

Planting Instructions: Prepare the ground well before planting. Blueberries prefer an acid soil. In alkaline soil, add ammonium sulfate for best results. Dig a hole large enough to encompass the roots without bending or circling. Set the plant in place so the crown (part of the plant where the root meets the stem) is about 1-2 inches below the soil surface. When planting, add generous amounts of peat but no fertilizer. Cover with soil to the original soil surface and water thoroughly. Blueberries can also be grown in large pots and containers if compost is used. Prune in winter, cutting out dead or damaged branches. In spring, feed with sulphate of ammonia, sulphate of potash, bonemeal and top-dress with compost.

Pests or Diseases: No serious insect or disease problems. You may protect your fruit from birds with netting.
