Amaranthus Bicolor do produce a dark red flower seed head composed of tiny flowers, but the flowers go mostly unnoticed because of the showy foliage. Amaranthus seeds can be directly started outside in a prepared seedbed. Wait until temperatures are consistently warm and frost danger has passed.
