Heirloom Bean Gold of Bacauâ Wax Pole Bean A Rare Variety From Romania !
A wonderful and unique variety. These Romano-type beans grow 6-10" long. The flat, greenish-yellow pods are very tender, cooking quickly. They have a sweet and somewhat starchy flavor. Stringless. Best used fresh or frozen, not canned. The dried beans make delicious soups or baked beans.Excellent sweet flavor. Even when the seeds begin to form the pods are still stringless, tender, and sweet. Best for fresh use but can also be frozen. Pole habit, wax, 60-70 days.
Gold of Bacau originally came from Bacau, Romania. The tall vines require a trellis. Very productive. Latin name: Phaseolus vulgaris. 60 days.
Sow seeds outdoors after danger of frost has passed and soil and air temperatures have warmed. Harvest frequently for increased yields.
I wasted all of the time growing these to find out that they were not what was represented. They do not even taste good. My money back would not even come close to the time and effort taken to grow them.
