Purple Mart yard long beans are outstanding in Szechwan dry-fried beans, stir-fries with garlic and chili, steamed as a side, or used in soups. Cut into 2" sections for stir-frying. Can substitute for string beans in any recipe. Also delicious deep-fried for a crispy snack.

Growing Guide

• Sow: Direct after soil temperature exceeds 60°F (16°C); plant 1" deep, 3" apart, rows 4 ft apart
• Support: Grow on trellises, large mesh fencing, 4-pole tepees, or single poles
• Poles: Plant 7 seeds at the base of each pole
• Large plantings: Drill single rows; 3 seeds/hole, 8" between holes; fence posts 8–10 ft apart with 9-gauge wire support
• Harvest regularly to keep plants producing abundantly
