How to Grow

Fill a seed tray with sterile commercial seed-starting mix — avoid unsterilized garden soil, which can harbor pathogens. Moisten the mix with room-temperature water using a spray bottle.

Create rows 1 inch apart and plant seeds spaced 1 inch apart. Do not cover the seeds — they need light to germinate. Cover the tray with a clear plastic dome and place in a warm location (at least 65°F / 18°C). Avoid direct sunlight under the dome, which can overheat seedlings.
