Rising 30" high above elegant sword-shaped green foliage, it is sweetly fragrant and returns with blooms more than once a season. Planting Instructions

  • Plant in a full sun, well-drained loamy location.
  • Do not plant too deep — the rhizome top should be at or just at the soil surface; roots face downward.
  • In very light soils or extremely hot climates, covering with 1" of soil is acceptable.
  • Firm soil around each rhizome and water well to settle.

Care Tips

  • Bearded iris are heavy feeders — fertilize in early spring and again in late summer.
  • Divide clumps every 3–4 years (August) to maintain vigor and reblooming.
  • Watch for iris borer; treat promptly if detected.
  • Caution: Harmful if eaten.
