Tall Bearded Iris 'Copper Classic' – Warm Tones for the Late Spring Border
Rich, warm, and undeniably elegant, Tall Bearded Iris 'Copper Classic' (Iris germanica) stands out in any garden with its distinctive coppery tan standards and falls, accented by a striking tangerine beard. The combination is sophisticated and earthy — a welcome departure from the typical purple-and-white palette and a natural complement to bronze foliage, ornamental grasses, and warm-toned perennials.
Fragrant and long-stemmed, 'Copper Classic' blooms mid to late season, extending the iris display beautifully. Hardy from Zones 3–10 with no cold period required, and drought tolerant once established — a true low-maintenance garden classic.
