This sweet pepper,  is an excellent variety for the home garden! Abundant yields of heart shaped fruits turn from green to red when mature and are great for pickling. This variety is suitable for growing in containers and has average water needs.

Planting Heirloom Sweet Peppers: Sow seeds indoors before last frost. Plant seeds about 1/4 under soil surface, then transplant seedlings to garden with 12” - 18” between plants, and 24 to 36 between rows. Be sure to keep them in a warm place so that the soil temperature stays above 75°. Young heirloom pepper plants like it to stay warm and will develop well if kept at 75-85 %. Can also grown in containers.

Only transplanted after the heirloom pepper seedlings have shown several sets of their true leaves and only once you are sure the outside soil temperature is consistently above 65°.
