Planting Guide

When to plant: Plant bulbs in fall for spring bloom.

Location: Full sun preferred; tolerates up to 25% shade. Choose a site with good drainage — bulbs will rot in waterlogged soil.

Planting depth & spacing: Plant 5 inches (13 cm) deep to the base of the bulb; space 2 inches (5 cm) apart.

Spread management: Ornithogalum can naturalize aggressively. To control spread, plant in a buried container or edged bed. Deadhead flowers before seeds develop to prevent unwanted self-seeding. To remove established colonies, the entire bulb must be dug out.
