Tulipa ‘Club Mixture’ is a playful, multicolor bunch-flowering tulip mix blending lovely yellows, pinks, whites, and purples — some striped — for an unforgettable and joyful spring display. A delight for children and adults alike, this mix invites smiles and color into any garden bed, border, or container. Bunch-flowering bulbs produce multiple stems per bulb and perennialize well in warm climate zones. Plant in groups of 25–50 for the greatest visual impact.

Plant Highlights

  • Multicolor mix — yellows, pinks, whites, and purples, including striped varieties
  • Bunch-flowering habit — multiple blooms per bulb
  • Perennializes well in warm climate zones
  • Outstanding in mass plantings; groups of 25–50 recommended for best effect
  • Suitable for beds, borders, containers, and cutting gardens

Planting Guide

When to plant: As soon as bulbs are received — plant in garden, pot, or planter. Store in a frost-free area if not planting immediately (potted bulbs are generally not frost-resistant).

Depth & spacing: Plant in a hole 3x the height of the bulb (e.g., a 5 cm bulb goes 15 cm / ~6 inches deep). Space bulbs approximately 10 cm (4 inches) apart in beds, 7 cm (3 inches) apart in pots. Loosen soil well; plant pointed end up. Backfill and avoid compacting by walking on it.

Mass planting tip: For beds and borders, dig a wide hole to accommodate multiple bulbs at once. Plant in groups of at least 25, or distribute 25–50 evenly across the border for the most striking display.

Container Planting

Use fresh potting compost with a layer of gravel or hydrogranules at the bottom for drainage. Plant close together — 7 cm apart — at a depth of 3x the bulb height. Add low-growing anemones or forget-me-nots among the tulips for extra spring color.

Spring & Post-Bloom Care

Water lightly when there has been no rain for 3–5 days. Avoid overwatering. After bloom, remove green seedpods and cut stems promptly. Leave foliage in place until fully yellow/purple before removing — the leaves feed the bulb for future seasons. Stop watering after foliage is cut. Fertilize with a general low-nitrogen fertilizer when foliage first emerges in spring.
