Tulipa ‘Canada Pride Mix’ is a cheerful bunch-flowering tulip mix — small, multi-stemmed bulbs that perennialize well in warmer climate zones, producing clusters of colorful blooms in spring from a single planting. Top size 12+ bulbs supplied for maximum flower performance. An effortless, high-impact spring display for beds, borders, containers, and cutting gardens.

Plant Highlights

  • Bunch-flowering habit — multiple stems per bulb for generous spring color
  • Perennializes well in warm climate zones
  • Top size 12+ bulbs for the best bloom performance
  • Full sun preferred; tolerates some shade
  • Classic spring show in beds, borders, containers, and cutting gardens

Planting Guide

When to plant: Fall, for spring bloom.

Location: Mostly sunny to light shade; well-drained soil essential. Tulips dislike wet conditions — avoid waterlogged sites. If drainage is poor, amend with compost or organic matter to raise the bed 2–3 inches.

Depth & spacing: Plant pointed end up, 6–7 inches deep. Space 5–6 inches apart in beds; cluster closer in pots for the best effect.

After planting: Water only if the soil is very dry. Roots develop in autumn; blooms emerge in spring.

Spring Care

Water lightly if there is no rain for 3–5 days during active growth. Avoid overwatering. Fertilize with a general low-nitrogen fertilizer when foliage first pushes through the soil in spring.

Post-Bloom Care

Remove green seedpods and cut stems as soon as flowering finishes. Do not cut foliage until leaves turn fully yellow/purple — this returns nutrients to the bulb for next year. After foliage removal, stop watering so the bulb can rest. Note: most tulips perform best the first year; perennialization varies by climate and conditions.
