Calendula ‘Fiesta Gitana’ is a dwarf variety that grows 8 to 12 inches tall and comes in shades of orange, yellow and gold. Suitable for containers, beds and borders, and the pollinator garden. Flower petals are edible.

Grow Calendula (Calendula Officinalis Mix) with ease! This versatile plant stands 16-24 inches tall and produces vibrant orange or yellow, daisy-like flowers. Not only is it easy to grow from seed, but it also attracts beneficial insects and repels pests, earning it the nickname "Pot Marigold." Available in all regions of North America, Calendula is a valuable addition to any garden.
Sow Pot Marigold seeds in cell packs, press into soil and lightly cover. Kept at 70F, germination averages 7 - 14 days. Or direct sow Calendula flower seed into prepared seed beds after all danger of frost has passed in the spring. Lightly cover the flower seeds with peat moss, and sow 6 seeds per foot. Thin to 8 - 12 inches apart. Calendula prefers full sun, moderate water, and almost any soil with good drainage will work. Calendula flowers are long-lasting cut, and they attract bees and butterflies. Pot Marigolds perform the best in cool weather, and they can grow fall-spring in mild winter areas.
