Flax seeds are Alsi seeds they are grown since the beginning of civilization, they are one of the oldest crops. There are two types, brown and golden, which are equally nutritious.

Just one tablespoon provides a good amount of protein, fiber, and omega-3 fatty acids, in addition to being a rich source of some vitamins and minerals.

1 oz package can cover approximately 100 sq. ft. and is recommended for 45 lbs per acre or 1-2 lbs per 1,000 sq. ft at a depth of 1 inch or less. For optimal results, it is best to use a drill for planting.

Flax is an annual plant with a branched stem and taproot system. It is one of the first domesticated crops and was used for both fiber and seed. Flax production in the US declined with the invention of the cotton gin.

To grow your own flaxseed,Flax seeds should be planted directly in well-drained, sandy soil in a sunny spot during early spring.
