Abutilon (Abutilon Hybridum Bellvue Mix) - This lovely Flowering Maple has early blooms and vivid colors! Abutilon blooms, when full-sized, will stand out from across the garden! This flowering maple plant will provide brilliant shades of red, orange and yellow from spring until frost. You just can't find an easier, more beautiful source of color indoors or out which can be grown from flower seeds! The flowers are 3 inches across and have a crepe-paper feel, somewhat like Hibiscus. You won't believe how many flowers you get on each and every plant grown from Abutilon seeds.
Flowering Maple is also called Parlor Maple because it makes a lovely house plant, and this variety can also be used for containers.Abutilon (Abutilon Hybridum Bellvue Mix)Very free-blooming and easy to care for, it asks for only a sunny window and a periodic feed. Abutilon Hybridum is superb for the garden, too. Low enough to edge a pathway or dazzle in the front of the border, it's a nice accent plant for the patio as well and so easy to grow from flower seeds. Tolerant of partial shade where summers are long and hot, it grows quickly and lushly from Abutilon seeds. You will love this garden standout grown from flower seeds!
Abutilon care includes providing nutrients every other week if grown in a container or every month if grown in the garden. Use a well-balanced liquid fertilizer. Pruning is also important if the plant becomes too tall or gangly. Prune it back to a leaf joint to encourage more branching. If grown outdoors, prune in the early spring.
