The plants can reach twenty four inches and have short runners. The seeds have one cream half and the other is maroon and mottled with various patterns - like the tail end of an Appaloosa horse. Can be used young as a snap bean but generally dried and shelled Bush/Dry.
85 days to dry seed. Can be picked as snap beans when young. Short Compact plants produce 4 to 5 inch pods containing 4 to 5 seeds. Native to Central and South America. The variety has been cultivated in the southwest.

Vegetable Planting: Direct sow outside after danger of last frost. Plant about 4” apart and 1“ below soil surface. Rows should be spaced at 24”-30” apart.

Vegetable Seed Saving: Allow bean pods to dry on plant; then break them open to collect the large bean seeds. Clean and dry the seeds before storage in cool dry conditions.
