Picture a garden adorned with the grand El Capitan Lily Tree - aptly named after Yosemite's breathtaking vertical rock formation. Robust stems produce magnificent (8" in size), pinkish to bluish-red flowers with crisp white rims and a captivating aroma. In just three years, these plants can grow up to 8' tall and produce up to 10 blooms per stalk!
Growing: When planting oriental lily bulbs, dig a 6-8 inch deep hole and space the bulbs 12 inches apart. Place the bulbs with the flat side down and pointed end facing upwards, backfill with soil, ensure proper drainage, and fully water. For best results, plant in the spring in well-drained and compost-enriched soil, and mulch around the bulbs to preserve moisture.
