This California native, rarely found, belongs to the sunflower family and grows quickly to reach a height of 1-1.5 feet. It blooms abundant 2 inch yellow flowers with distinct white markings in the spring and summer, easily adapting to its surroundings. Sowing: In mild winters, direct sow in late fall on the surface of the soil. In colder climates, direct sow in early spring after the last frost.
