Aztec Lily - Sprekelia Bulbs

This plant, native to Mexico, is also known as Amaryllis formosissima and resembles a large (5”) velvet orchid on an 8”-12” stem. Its exotic flower has 2 groups of petals - the upper 3 stand up and curve back at the tips, while the lower 3 hang down and roll up like a tube around the stamens. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, making it an excellent choice for containers. It is also pest-resistant and comes in 16/+ cm bulbs, with a recommended planting density of 4-5 per sq. ft. Suitable for WHZ 8-10.
