Ají Yuania is a rare and historically significant heirloom pepper from Colombia, believed to originate with the Cubeo people of the Mitú region in the Amazon. Tear-shaped pods grow to about 2 inches and ripen from green to a glossy red in approximately 100 days. Heat is extreme — comparable to a habanero — with the complex, fruity flavor typical of the best Capsicum chinense varieties. A genuine collector’s pepper with deep indigenous roots.
