Lobularia maritima 'Carpet of Snow' is a classic dwarf white sweet alyssum producing masses of delicate, honey-fragrant white flowers on compact plants just 4–6 inches tall. A prolific, fast-growing, and virtually trouble-free annual, it is equally at home in borders, container combinations, between pavers, and as a groundcover in both outdoor gardens and greenhouses. A natural attractor and food source for beneficial insects — widely used in vegetable and fruit production as a beneficial habitat planting. Tender perennial in Zones 9–11; grown as an annual everywhere else. Deer resistant. Approx. 71,100 seeds per oz.

Growing Guide
Sowing: Surface-sow; do not cover seeds — light is required for germination. Keep seeds consistently moist at 55–75°F. Germination in 15–20 days.
Sowing rate: 1 oz per 1,000 sq ft | 2½ lbs per acre. Space plants 6 inches apart.
Site and soil: Full sun to partial shade; well-drained soil, pH 6.0–6.5. Tolerates a wide range of growing conditions. If plants become open or leggy, cut back and they will be bushy and blooming again within 4 weeks. Soil should be well-drained — soggy soil causes root rot.
