Planting and Growing
Plant in spring when the soil can be worked. Choose a sunny location with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily and well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Sandy loam is preferred. Prepare the soil to a depth of approximately 6–8 inches before planting.
Keep roots moist until planting. Spread the roots into the planting hole and position the crown at soil level, covering the roots without burying the crown. Water thoroughly after planting.
Seasonal Care and Harvest
Maintain evenly moist soil without waterlogging. Feed at transplanting and again in spring, following the fertilizer label. Keep weeds under control and monitor plants as they establish.
Pick berries when fully red and ripe. Earliglow provides a concentrated harvest, useful when you want enough fruit for a batch of preserves or the freezer. Harvest timing and yields depend on your climate, weather, and plant establishment.
