This fast growing, first year flowering perennial foxglove received high scores in German trials. It ranked high due to its strong growth habit, floridity, and pure colored flowers.
Flowers start pinkish peach and fade to delicate peach with small orange speckled throats. Low-growing foliage grows in dense groups with a branching habit. Digitalis has sizable rosettes of green oblong leaves and multiple flowering stems. It makes a beautiful addition when placed next to fences, along the edge of wooded areas, or in spacious planters.ants are quite uniform in height (16 to 20 inches), so you'll be able to create a dazzling display in your sunny to partly shaded perennial garden! Zones 5-9.
Note: Digitalis is one of the most famous toxic plants. While small doses of the plant are actually used to good effect in heart medicine, high doses can cause cardiac arrhythmia and even death.
