Planting Guide

• When to plant: As soon as soil can be worked in late winter or early spring, immediately after your last expected frost date. Cool, moist soil benefits early bulb development.
• How to plant: Poke or dibble a hole 1–2" deep, drop the plant in, and firm soil around the roots. Plants establish quickly and begin active growth within days.
• Spacing: 4–6" apart in rows 12–18" apart for full bulb development. Closer spacing (2–3") produces green onions.
• Depth: Prepare the bed to 4" depth. Set plants so the base sits just at or slightly below the soil surface.
