Sedum ‘Brilliant’ Bare-Root Plants | Pink-Flowering Perennial

Add rich pink color to the late-season garden with Sedum ‘Brilliant’. This upright, clump-forming perennial combines fleshy gray-green foliage with broad clusters of carmine to mauve-pink flowers. Plant it beside ornamental grasses or in a sunny border and enjoy the flowers as summer gives way to fall.

Plant details

• Botanical name: Sedum spectabile ‘Brilliant’
• Product: Bare-root plants, not seeds or potted plants
• Available quantities: 1, 3, or 10 bare roots
• Flowers: Broad pink flower clusters
• Bloom season: Late summer into fall
• Foliage: Fleshy gray-green leaves
• Mature spread: Approximately 18–24 inches, depending on conditions

Planting and care

Unpack bare roots promptly and plant in a sunny position with well-drained soil. Spread the roots gently and position the crown at soil level, then backfill and water to settle the soil. Avoid waterlogged conditions. Water as needed while the plant establishes; established plants tolerate dry conditions.

Garden uses

Grow in borders, rock gardens, grouped plantings, or containers with good drainage. The nectar-rich flowers attract bees and butterflies, and the flower stems can be used in cut arrangements. Allow dried flower heads to remain if you enjoy their winter texture.

Variety note

This listing is for ‘Brilliant’, not ‘Autumn Joy’. Both have an upright sedum habit, but ‘Brilliant’ is noted for its bright pink flower clusters. Growth and flowering vary with season and growing conditions.
