Old Fashioned Bajan Mauby Drink Recipe

Ingredients:

• 3/4 cup cinnamon-infused Mauby bitters (1/2 pack Mauby bark + 2 large cinnamon sticks, boiled)
• 2 cups brown sugar
• 4 dashes Angostura Bitters
• 4 tbsp vanilla essence
• 2 tbsp mixed essence
• Dash of ground cinnamon
• 2 litres cold water

Method:

1. Boil half a pack of Mauby bark with 2 large cinnamon sticks for about 15 minutes. Watch carefully — it will foam. Lower heat as needed.
2. Measure 3/4 cup of the bitters and pour into a large pitcher.
3. Add brown sugar, Angostura bitters, essences, and cinnamon. Stir to dissolve.
4. Add 2 litres of cold water and stir well.
5. Serve chilled over ice and enjoy.
